Masterclass 3: The next generation of assessment

February 1, 2009

Sponsor: GL Assessment

In light of the Government’s announcement to suspend KS3 National Tests, GL Assessment will examine how assessment is changing. As well as covering the assessments teachers will be ad-ministering in the future, the session will highlight the benefits of using technology to administer tests and analyse results. It is a must-attend for schools looking for guidance on new ways to assess pupil progress, as well as those looking to implement e-assessment successfully.

Schools in the future will be designed to better facilitate e-learning: a sound, stable IT infra-structure and more open learning spaces will allow the technology to work at its optimum level. This will also encourage new approaches to delivering and administering assessment, partly so that schools can deliver truly personalised learning and partly to deliver a new curriculum which may require ‘multi-site’ learning and assessment (take, for example, the Vocational Diplomas).

GL Assessment will be on hand to demonstrate e-assessment in practice and show how schools and local authorities can implement e-assessment in their settings.
