Speaker: Matthew Nall, MIS Programme Manager, Cambridgeshire ICT Service
Over the last few years, a school’s Management Information System has ceased to be the preserve of school administrators and now forms a key part of the school’s strategy from classroom management to school improvement and parental engagement. This seminar will focus on three aspects of this transition:
• Use of the MIS by classroom teachers
• Secure remote access
• Real-time reporting for parents
The seminar will draw on experiences of working with Cambridgeshire schools.

Most important the presentation will be lively and motivating and any of the examples given will be able to be replicated and scaled up by any school.

The Buffers Guide to Functional Skills will introduce delegates to the key principles of Functional Skills in a (relatively) light hearted way. Starting with where the qualification sits within the 14-19 curriculum and then looking at the impact that Functional English, Mathematics and ICT will have on teaching and learning using examples from all subjects.
By the end of the session, delegates should be able to explain with confidence why Functional Skills will be so important and how the introduction of Functional Skills will impact on ICT as a subject.
The Bluffers Guide will be quite fast moving, perhaps a little controversial in places and it does require some delegate participation.
There is no presentation for this session. Jonathan distributed handouts to delegates. To get a laminated copy please contact info@guroo.co.uk
